Jasmine Vasquez, LMFT

I believe that one of the most powerful things about therapy is being able to offer a space where it’s safe for you to show up exactly as you are, where both your strengths and your struggles are recognized. When we feel safe, accepted, and understood, it frees us to heal and grow. I know that facing painful emotions and experiences can be hard, and it’s an honor to me to be able to meet people where they’re at and walk alongside them through their healing. I'm here to listen, hold space for your story and emotions, help you see your strengths, and work together to help you find growth and healing.

In addition to talk therapy, I offer expressive modalities such as sandtray therapy and art activities, and am trained in Somatic-Experiential Play Therapy. Creative approaches like these can be helpful in expressing feelings and experiences that are difficult to talk about, as well as processing things on the deeper level of your “felt sense” of an emotion or experience. I also often bring a somatic lens into my work, which is another way to help process emotions and experiences on a deeper level. Because these approaches work with the "felt sense," they can also be helpful in working with dissociation, preverbal trauma, and when talk therapy feels like it's at an impasse. I'm also a firm believer that we're never too old to play in some form, even if it looks different as we get older!
